Planespotting at LAX

This past April I made my first trip to LAX to do some planespotting. Planespotting is when aviation nerds go to an airfield with the goal being to spot and photograph as many interesting airplanes as possible. What makes an airplane interesting can vary but some common things are seeing a rare paint job, a rare aircraft or even a military airplane. Sometimes even a common airplane can be interesting if you are capable of capturing the airplane from a unique perspective, such as flying right over your head.

On the day that I went, I went hoping to capture one airplane in particular: the Lufthansa 747 that is painted in a special way due to 2026 being Lufthansa's 100th year. I ended up having a great day and even made a return trip just last month. I'll post those pictures, but here's the one from April first.
