I recently took my sons to see their (and my) first drifting event. I've heard about drifting for years, and even seen it online, but I'd never seen it live. This event was being held at the National Orange Show Speedway, located just 20 minutes from where we live, and I was surprised that I had no idea that it was there!

The event ran from 1:00 PM until 9:00 PM, but the high temperature for that day was 100F and I was not going to bake in the heat that day. We chose to show up at 6:00 PM, and that worked out well. Concurrent with the drifting was an all-day carshow, and there were many cars strewn about the grounds in a well-organized manner. I really liked the diversity of vehicles, as everything from lowered 350Zs to a heavily-modified Lamborghini Urus was present. It made me think even more about getting a fairly-recent luxury car that can be inexpensively pimped-out and shown at local car shows.
